How Do We Differ From Our Competitors?

It’s Academic hires only seasoned classroom instructors in the belief that recent college graduates with no formal teaching background—their energy and enthusiasm notwithstanding—have not in general acquired the poise and experience necessary to be truly effective. We emphasize an essential kind of flexibility: the capacity to tailor our approach to each student or group on a moment-to-moment basis.

This, for us, is the key to true teaching success.

What Kind of Test Results Do We Produce?

We are always a bit leery of companies who "guarantee" a minimum score improvement, since performance on standardized tests is by its nature a highly individual matter. Students who apply themselves rigorously to the material often earn dramatic increases; less conscientious students see weaker results.

On average, our clients’ combined SAT 1 scores rise approximately 200 points. It is not uncommon, however, for the highly motivated student to experience gains in excess of 300 points.
