The business of tutoring is, by its nature, a highly individualized undertaking. Whether the focus is on AP's, SAT's, or college application essays, no two students are alike in their needs, aptitudes, or personalities. This is a primary consideration in the It's Academic approach to successful tutoring.
Our Goals:
 Precisely identify what a student doesn't understand and why.
Carefully break down difficult concepts into their component parts.
Teach those component parts logically and sequentially.
Help students to recognize and understand the relationship between concepts.
Employ a Socratic teaching methodology: ask students lots of questions, and
help them work toward integrating the answers for themselves.
Develop independent thinking skills.
Adapt teaching style and approach to each individual student.
