There is no longer any question: understanding the inner workings of the S.A.T. makes for smarter test-takers.
But at It’s Academic, we feel very strongly that the issue goes far beyond cool techniques and gimmickry.
The S.A.T. is a constantly evolving test; preparation must therefore continue to evolve in response to both major changes (such as the new SAT I) and
the subtle stylistic shifts that occur from year to year.
What does not change: the fundamental skills around which the test revolves. If the SAT measures anything on a consistent basis,
it is the students’ ability to think their way through difficult problems quickly and accurately. At It’s Academic, we place enormous
emphasis on these abilities even as we’re sharing our knowledge of the techniques which lead to significantly heightened efficiency in moving through questions.
We have found these sharpened skills, and the increased confidence they foster, to be the key to the greatest score improvements.
Ultimately, it is our hope that the students’ gains in perspicacity will extend well beyond this single test.
